News
The youngsters have had daily flights around the loft and have been exercising very well. The cocks in the loft are flying like widowhood cocks trying their best to strut their stuff and show off to the amorous hens.
Sundays race was a bit erratic and some 30 pigeons failed to home. Hopefully we will get a few more home.
At times the birds must have encountered heavy down pours as this could be seen by the way some of the convoy were arriving to the loft.
This weekend we plan to race from Thurles for our 5th Hotspot race a distance of 176 miles. Weather reports at the moment our showing showers and a north east wind so as it stands we will be racing on Sunday.
Sean is now looking to take bookings for the Sunday night prize night so he can get the final numbers into the lodge hotel. So please give Sean a call asap. The tickets are still the same price as last year at £15 a head.
Last year the carvery was out of this world and a brilliant night was had by all.
The NCC would like to congratulate one of its members Jim Armstrong on a wonderful Section victory in Section C at the weekend from Clonmel.
Keep the pedal to the metal Jim and we look forward to seing you at the loft in the near future.
